Job Description, Required Skills, Education, Experience Responsibilities 1 Monitor, maintain, support client facing applications as well as internal enterprise systems bull Troubleshoot, research, and resolve major defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in systems functions, outputs, and content bull Monitoring application and system health via monitoring tools bull Quick response to system monitors, alerts, escalations and all outages bull Investigation and gathering application logs for incidents, and escalating when needed to high level engineers. 2 Provide Support Leadership in designated systems bull Provide On call support on rotating schedule for specific designated systems bull Study software documentation to understand our applications business and technical alignment for providing maximum support bull Analyze statistics and Incidents to develop and execute availability improvement plans bull Work with peers and vendors to design technical solutions to application issues bull Focus on driving packaged automation scripts to support bull Focus on service restoration and reducing Mean Time To Restoration (MTTR) 3 System Knowledge Acquisition bull Acquire and master the general skill set required for supporting and restoring services for all management designated applications and system bull Continue comprehension of proprietary systems and subsequent system and procedural updates bull Provide the role of SME for the systems designated by Management bull Consistently working on improving knowledge of applications and Processes 4 Perform a set of daily operational duties that ensure seamless operation of production systems bull Perform routine maintenance on application servers and track system performance bull Maintain space requirements on servers bull Recognize opportunities for improved process or procedures 5 Communication Service bull Communicate to the Management about service disruption and take initial measures for resolution bull Provide outage and service restoration details to Operations Command Center for degradation statistics and root cause analysis bull Provide excellent service to all Production Support clients and business partners Preferred Skills, Education, Experience Experience in Linux, with a focus in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5 or above. Java, Middleware, Tomcat Software Support Experience Familiarity with SQL andor Oracle database environments (simple queries, analyzing logs, administrative tools) Experience in Perl, python and Shell Scripting 2-4 years related experience 5 years total experience Ability to work well under pressure in production support situations Solid written and verbal communication skills Strong learning curiosity and problem solving skills Ability to act independently with limited supervision within scope of responsibility. Ability to cross train and provide direction for other associates Ability to take charge and lead others in service restoration Agility when dealing with multiple projects and production issues Ability to work rotating on Call shifts that may include nights and weekend shifts Preferred Skills, Education, Experience Experience with Grafana monitoring tool (Helpful) Experience with ticketing systems or development methodologies - working with priorities, SLA, statuses, workflows, JIRA Financial industry Experience (2-4 years) (Helpful) Hands on Experience using Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed Schedule (dayshours) Standard Business DayHours with some on-call duties for nights and weekends Interview Process (Phone, In-Person, Both) Phone
